may be eligible for to begin or continue to afford personalized care in
the place you call home.

Aid and Attendance (A&A) is part of the VA’s Improved Pension, which  
awarded to a veteran or surviving spouse who requires assistance with
their daily living such as dressing, bathing, cooking, eating etc.
Any War-Time Veteran with 90 days of active duty, 1 day beginning or
ending during a period of War, is eligible to apply for Aid & Attendance
Improved Pension. Service in combat is not required, only that the
veteran was in the service during wartime and was discharged
honorably.A surviving spouse (marriage must have ended due to death
of veteran) of a War-Time Veteran may also apply.
World War II        
December 07, 1941 through December 31, 1946

Korean Conflict
June 27, 1950 through January 31, 1955

Vietnam Era
August 05, 1964 through May 07, 1975
for veteran who served "in country" before
August 05, 1964,
February 28, 1961 through May 07, 1975

Gulf War
August 2, 1990 through a date to be set by law or
Presidential Proclamation
